To help plan your and your families future, MXL offers a 401(k) plan with a diverse choice of investment options. The 401(k) plan allows pre-tax contributions of up to the IRS maximum allowed, beginning on the 1st of the month following employment. Vesting occurs at 20% per year from date of hire. MXL matches with NPDC stock after the first year of employment.
MXL strives to reward employees for their contributions to its financial success. To that end, the company has implemented a unique bonus program wherein employees demonstrating exceptional performance may be awarded bonuses during a performance period. The value of the bonus is based on the financial performance of the business unit and the company as a whole, and on the employee's commitment to company values. MXL may also award discretionary bonuses, as appropriate, based on individual and overall company performance.
MXL's corporate parent is National Patent Development Corporation (NPDC). MXL makes matching contributions to its 401(k) plan in the form of NPDC common stock giving employees a vested interest in the success of the company.
MXL encourages a healthy balance of home and career. Full-time employees have vacation days ranging from 5 days to 25 days depending on length of service, 9 holidays and when employees lose those closest to them, MXL provides three paid days off.
MXL feels that everyone benefits from continuous education and training, and provides up to 100% reimbursement for tuition and direct academic fees.
